Kfar Sava, ISRAEL; December 20, 2009 – Ayecka Communication Systems Ltd, an international leader in the provision of satellite communications systems and solutions, today announces the issuance of United States Patent No. 7,603,075 – protecting its Advanced ACM Overlay Technology. The patent entitled “Transmodulator for VSATs employing IP based communications” is based on an application filed in 2006 and recently granted by the USPTO. The ‘075 patent protects Ayecka's advanced technology for providing ACM services to legacy DVB-S or DVB-S2 CCM networks through the use of a small low-cost device, the TM1Pro transmodulator.
Ayecka's innovative method using the TM1Pro for transmitting ACM messages is a cost-effective migration path to DVB-S2 ACM. The Ayecka solution avoids cumbersome and expensive hardware replacement while enabling full migration to the new ACM standard. Ayecka’s low-cost solution enables significant cost savings and a much earlier ROI than would be realized under conventional hardware swap-out.
Ayecka's TM1 devices first introduced in 2007, have been deployed successfully in thousands of sites, enabling service providers to migrate their networks, with minimal CAPEX, to the new DVB-S2 standard. The result is an immediate savings of typically 30% in OPEX. Now with the New TM1Pro Supporting ACM, service providers will be able to further increase the OPEX savings by up to 70%, with respect to the DVB-S operation. .
